Add a distinctive floral note to culinary creations with LorAnn Oils Natural Lavender Oil. Derived from the Lavandula officinalis plant, this potent essential oil can be used for both flavoring and aromatherapy. For culinary applications, use sparingly—a simple way to control the intensity is to dip a toothpick into the oil and swirl it into batter or frosting. The oil-soluble formula is suitable for fine chocolates and confectionery coatings as well as ganache, fudge, fondant and icings. Typical usage in chocolate or coatings is ¼–½ teaspoon per pound.
